Working in my studio at Clapper Yard I am currently enjoying hand building individual pieces. My new work - including the Angels - is inspired by a renewed interest in life drawing and I am exploring simple forms developed from the human figure. With minimal decoration, poured glaze and the spontaneity offered by the Raku method of kiln firing, the overlapping colours and textures are evocative of landscapes, human beings and their interaction. My aim is to create quiet and beautiful pieces for people to enjoy.
